I started meditating in 2014, during my yoga teacher training. I was a “crisis meditator” at that time, fitting it in when I could, not truly understanding its power and benefits. It became a daily practice in 2016, when I started studying with Davidji and completed the “Masters of Wisdom and Meditation Teacher Training Program” in 2017.

In 2018, I completed his advanced “Deeper Still” meditation certification, for a total of 500 hours of training. My husband, John, completed the same trainings and we now teach together.

During these experiences, I learned about the different lineages and styles of meditation, along with the neuroscience explaining how it positively affects the brain and health. Its therapeutic benefits are many (click here for “Meditation Made Easy”), and I want to share this amazing tool with others. I believe that if you are not meditating daily, you are missing out on proven method to up-level your health, happiness and overall well-being.

My meditation practice is my “reset” or “reboot” button for the day. It has helped me balance the stressors that come with working, parenting and living in a world that is always “on.” It has taught me that I am not my thoughts, and that I can quiet my thoughts and notice the space and stillness between the chatter. Some days this pause and quiet is easy to find and some days it is not, but I as come back to this practice daily, it gets easier and I know I am training my brain and rewiring its stress circuits. I now look back at “life before meditation” and “life after meditation…” and am grateful.

It’s time to stress less and feel good.  Learn how to control your mind and not let it control you.  I incorporate meditation into all my treatment plans with patients.
