You Know Something Has Changed. Now You Want To Understand Why.

If you’re navigating changes in your hormones, energy, weight, sleep, mood, metabolism, or overall health, you don’t need more conflicting advice.

You need someone who can step back, look at the whole picture, and help you understand where to start.

At Peace & Calm Health, I provide personalized, physician-led care for women who want to better understand what their body is telling them now and build a thoughtful strategy for their health in the years ahead.

Your first step is a complimentary 30 minute Clarity Call.

You May Be in the Right Place If...

You don’t feel like yourself anymore, but you’ve been told your labs look “normal.”

Your weight or body composition is changing despite doing many of the same things that used to work.

You’re struggling with fatigue, poor sleep, brain fog, mood changes, digestive symptoms, or unpredictable hormone symptoms.

You’re wondering whether you’re in perimenopause or menopause and aren’t sure what you should be doing differently.

You’re considering hormone therapy, already using HRT, or wondering whether hormones are really the whole story.

You’re eating well, exercising, and taking care of yourself, but what used to work doesn’t seem to be working the same way anymore.

Or maybe you’re feeling relatively well, but you’re thinking more seriously about your future health and want to be proactive about your metabolism, bones, cardiovascular health, brain health, muscle, and longevity.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before reaching out.

That’s part of what the Clarity Call is for.

Hormone Therapy Can Be an Important Tool. But It Isn't the Whole Strategy.

Hormones don’t work in isolation.

Changes in estrogen and progesterone can certainly influence how you feel during perimenopause and menopause. But thyroid function, insulin and metabolic health, cortisol and stress physiology, gut health, inflammation, nutrient status, sleep, movement, and daily habits all influence the bigger picture too.

That’s why my approach goes beyond simply asking whether your hormones are “low” or whether you need HRT.

I want to understand the physiology that allows your hormones and the rest of your body to work well.

Depending on your individual needs, we may explore:

Hormone physiology
Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, cortisol and insulin

Metabolic health
Blood sugar regulation, insulin resistance, body composition and cardiovascular risk

Gut and digestive health
Digestion, microbiome balance, nutrient absorption and inflammation

Detox and inflammatory pathways
How your body processes hormones and manages its overall inflammatory burden

Daily rhythms
Sleep, stress, nourishment, movement and the habits that support your physiology every day

Hormone therapy may be part of your strategy when appropriate.

But it is a tool, not the entire strategy.

The goal is thoughtful answers, not more guessing.

What Is a Clarity Call?

The complimentary 30 minute Clarity Call gives us an opportunity to briefly talk about what you’re experiencing, what you’re looking for, and whether my approach may be a good fit.

During our conversation, we’ll discuss:

  • Your primary concerns and health goals
  • What you’re hoping to better understand or improve
  • How I work with patients
  • Which of my programs may make sense for what you’re looking for
  • Any questions you have about getting started

You don’t need to gather every lab result or tell me your entire medical history during this call.

This is simply our opportunity to connect and determine whether taking the next step together makes sense.

Please note: The Clarity Call is not a medical consultation. Medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and individual lab interpretation are not provided during this call.

Meet Dr. Jen

Physician Expertise. A Whole-Person Perspective.

I’m Dr. Jennifer Horton, a board-certified family medicine physician and Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner.

I’ve spent more than two decades practicing medicine, including nearly a decade working through a functional and integrative lens.

And one thing has become increasingly clear to me:

In midlife, it’s rarely just one thing.

One prescription, one procedure, one supplement, or one lifestyle change may be helpful, but it may not address the full picture of why you’re feeling the way you do.

Your hormones, metabolism, thyroid, stress physiology, gut health, sleep, nutrition, movement, and health history all influence one another. My role is to understand how those pieces are working together in your body and determine where our attention can make the greatest difference.

My approach brings together my conventional medical training with functional and integrative medicine to create individualized strategies for hormone health, metabolic health, and healthy aging.

I believe symptoms are clues.

I believe the right strategy starts with understanding the right starting point.

And I believe women deserve more than being told that feeling tired, gaining weight, sleeping poorly, or simply not feeling like themselves is something they should accept because they’re getting older.

Aging is inevitable. How you age is strategic.

What Happens After the Call?

If we both feel that my approach is a good fit, we’ll talk about the most appropriate next step for you.

For some women, that may mean beginning with a comprehensive assessment to better understand their current hormone and metabolic health.

For others, a more comprehensive program may make sense based on their symptoms, health history, goals, and level of support needed.

There is no single path that is right for every woman.

My recommendation is based on what I believe will best help you achieve your goals, not simply on the amount of testing or length of a program.

You Don't Have to Keep Guessing About What Your Body Needs.

Maybe you’ve been searching for answers for years.

Maybe your symptoms are new and you’re trying to get ahead of them.

Or maybe you’re simply at a point where you want to be more intentional about how you care for your body as you move through midlife and beyond.

Wherever you’re starting, the goal is the same:

To understand what your body is telling us now so we can create a strategy that supports how you feel today and your health for years to come.

If that sounds like the kind of care you’ve been looking for, let’s start with a conversation.
